What is milkbase? Coffee and milk blend

For Specialty coffee, we have the Milkbase method for a little milk mixed with coffee. What is Milkbase? Which type of milk is right for you? Coffee and milk are a duo born to stick together. A mellow balance of flavors for those who love sweetness and creaminess.

Specialy milkbase coffee

For Specialty coffee, adding milk to a cup of coffee may not be welcome. Because the pride of this premium coffee is always pure, unadulterated flavor.

True Specialty coffee should have a natural sweetness without the need for added milk or sugar. It is the sweetness of ripe fruit.

But coffee is varied, fickle. Many coffee drinkers like to add milk. The milk in the Specialty coffee will be steamed (stream), which heats the fats and helps them expand to achieve a velvety texture. Coffee will bring a layer of creamy foam, eliminating the acrid or bitter smell of dark roasted coffee.

Before Specialty coffee was celebrated, strong roasted Robusta coffee was a popular product. They often lack the sweetness and are extremely bitter or pungent. Adding milk becomes a great way to reduce bitterness and enhance the texture of the coffee.

Many people are used to adding milk to coffee. Then do the same for a well-crafted high-quality coffee, as a simple routine.

Milkbase brewing method definition

Milkbase is a method of making coffee with milk.

At 43 Factory Coffee Roaster, workers will choose the Grind size 100 micrometer. Each blender will have a different level of grinding, in µm units to show accuracy and uniformity, steam milk temperature is 65 degrees Celsius.

The ratio of use between coffee and fresh milk is 1:6, enough to blend and push the outstanding original flavor. The percentage of extract reached the standard of 20 ± 0.5% and the total dissolved solids reached 12.5%. Specialty coffee grows well in milk medium and still retains its distinctive character. Coffee carries with it a creamy taste, with a guaranteed cup of milk.

So, can any milk be combined with Specialty coffee?

Scientific perspectives on coffee milk

The chemical composition of milk is a complex combination of fats. These spheres act as emulsifiers to keep the individual particles from clumping together, while also protecting them from being broken down or oxidized by enzymes in the liquid portion of the milk. Fatty milk granules limit the bitterness of coffee.

Another part that exists in milk are two types of proteins: whey and casein. The level of protein in cow’s milk is essential in creating froth during heating. And it is the combination of milk proteins with coffee beans that enhances the delicious flavor in the original coffee beans, especially when served hot.

Types of milk for the Milkbase method

Cow’s milk

If you want the choice of milk to make a cup of Milkbase coffee, cow’s milk is the best choice. It’s easier to stream because of its high fat content. Also, because the protein in milk aids in foaming, it’s perfect if you want to make coffee as an act of art. The fat content will also help enhance the flavor and texture of your aromatic coffee.

Expiry date is also a thing worth mentioning when choosing cow’s milk and other types of milk. Cow’s milk has a shorter shelf life than non-vegetable alternatives.

However, cow’s milk won’t be for everyone.

More and more people are not drinking milk because of their diet, or are pursuing a conscious pursuit of cutting down on their consumption of animal products. Fortunately, there are now many plant-based milks that can replace cow’s milk in coffee making. Each type will have a different impact on the specific flavor.

Oat milk

This milk quickly became the choice of vegans. It has an oat flavor, and the creaminess is quite neutral and light. A perfect combination with Specialty coffee because it does not cause too much change in coffee flavor.

Soymilk

Soy milk has a smooth creamy texture and is relatively neutral in taste. It also makes perfect works of art by its very fast foaming properties. And this has absolutely no effect on the taste or texture of the milk. However, with a quite different taste, this option is still not popular with those who like the original taste of coffee

Almond milk

This is one of the most popular ‘nut milks’ on the market, in stark contrast to the soya neutrality. Almond milk makes for a flavorful drink with a bittersweet taste. On the other hand, it also smells like coffee mixed with syrup. Almond milk assists the barista in frothing on the coffee cup.

There are more and more choices in the plant-based milk market. If you still have doubts, please come to 43 Factory Coffee Roaster.

Milkbase là gì?

Milkbase coffee is a seductive, soft drink

Juices or teas, just need to be mixed according to the same general formula, they will have a regular taste. But coffee is different – especially the Milkbase latte. We roast a little longer, grind a little more, the water temperature is a little hotter and the milk takes a few seconds longer. Coffee had a completely different taste. The ratio of milk and coffee in Milkbase cups defaults to a specific rule.
