Arabica
Arabica accounts for approximately 60–70% of global coffee production and is known for its floral, fruity, or chocolatey notes, bright acidity, and sweet aftertaste. Thanks to its diverse and balanced flavor profile, it is a favorite in the specialty coffee industry.
Originating from Ethiopia, Arabica grows well at altitudes between 800 and 2,200 meters, in cool climates with ideal temperatures around 15–24°C. However, it is quite sensitive to weather conditions and pests, so it typically requires careful cultivation and strict management to achieve optimal flavor quality.
Arabica beans are oval-shaped with a curved crease. Their caffeine content is relatively low—around 0.8–1.4%—which contributes to the coffee’s refined and delicate taste.
