SCA
SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) is an international organization dedicated to organizing and promoting the high-quality coffee industry. It was established in 2017 through the merger of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE).
SCA sets evaluation standards for specialty coffee based on factors such as flavor, cleanliness, balance, and aftertaste. The organization also conducts specialized training programs, hosts workshops, and organizes major events like the World Barista Championship. Additionally, SCA serves as a hub connecting coffee professionals, from farmers and roasters to baristas and consumers, fostering sustainable growth and improving coffee quality worldwide.
