Mundo Novo
The 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐨 coffee variety originates from Brazil and was discovered in 1943 in the Sao Paulo region. This variety was created by cross-pollinating Bourbon with Typica. Today, it accounts for 40% of all coffee varieties grown in Brazil.
This coffee variety is also popular in other South American countries. In addition to its disease resistance, it has the advantage of yielding approximately 30% more than Bourbon. Mundo Novo offers good quality and flavor potential, with lower acidity and full body. However, its cherries take longer to ripen.
Mundo Novo coffee is distinguished by its rich, balanced flavor that is easy to access. Its acidity ranges from low to medium, providing a smooth and mellow sensation on the palate, allowing drinkers to easily appreciate the roundness in its flavor structure.
