Mocha (also known as Mokka) is a coffee variety within the Arabica species, renowned for its distinctive flavor profile and rich historical legacy.

Mocha shares many botanical traits with Arabica: it features a robust trunk and deep root system, yet its cherries are notably smaller, rounder, and glossier than most other varieties. However, Mocha is highly susceptible to pests and diseases, requiring meticulous cultivation practices and strict care to ensure optimal quality.

This variety thrives at elevations of approximately 1.500 – 1.600 meters above sea level, in cool climates characterized by chilly nights and gentle sunlight during the day. These unique growing conditions play a crucial role in shaping Mocha’s deep, alluring flavor – a taste that continues to captivate discerning coffee lovers around the world.
