Guadeloupe is an Arabica-growing region located on the volcanic Caribbean archipelago of France. Official cultivation dates back to 1726, following the arrival of the first coffee seedlings across the ocean. The island preserves Guadeloupe Bonifieur (an heirloom Typica lineage) alongside several meticulously cultivated local Arabica cultivars.

Mineral-rich Andisol volcanic soil combined with the cool microclimate of the Guadeloupe National Park rainforest allows coffee cherries to mature slowly, accumulating high sugar content. Wet-processed coffees reveal a refined, crisp acidity, balanced body, and a distinctive flavor spectrum featuring almond, cane sugar, cacao, white flowers, and tropical yellow fruits.

Guadeloupe’s key advantage lies in strict adherence to European Union quality management standards combined with rare heirloom genetics. Despite extremely limited yields, coffee from this region continues to make a powerful impression on international auction markets, standing out as one of the top luxury names sought after by sensory experts worldwide.
