SCAA
SCAA – The Specialty Coffee Association of America was founded in 1982 as a nonprofit trade organization dedicated to advancing the coffee industry. SCAA played a crucial role in setting quality standards, flavor evaluation, certification processes, and professional training. It also served as a bridge connecting stakeholders across the coffee supply chain, from farmers and roasters to distributors and retailers.
In January 2017, SCAA merged with SCAE (the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe) to form SCA (the Specialty Coffee Association). This unification created a globally influential organization that continues to elevate quality standards, drive research, and promote sustainability within the coffee industry.
