Pluma Hidalgo
Pluma Hidalgo is an Arabica coffee variety primarily grown in the Pluma Hidalgo region of southern Mexico.
The region’s altitude and unique microclimate contribute to the production of high-quality coffees that have become one of Oaxaca’s most recognized coffee exports. Pluma Hidalgo coffees are renowned for their nutty flavor, light chocolate undertones, and fruity top notes, all balanced by a gentle acidity.
This coffee is mostly cultivated by smallholder farmers, typically on plots ranging from 1 to 2 hectares. Producers commonly use the washed processing method, with beans often dried in the shade to preserve flavor complexity and bean quality.
