Ombligon
Ombligon (meaning “navel”) is a rare specialty coffee variety from Colombia, famous for its extremely large bean size and characteristic round shape.
The main characteristic of this variety is its combination of large bean morphology and complex flavor potential. Despite its impressive size, it is genetically often related to Bourbon or Ethiopian varieties.
Ombligon is currently a focal point in the specialty industry due to its outstanding quality. It produces coffees with delicate, multi-layered floral and fruit notes, often compared to Gesha, and is highly sought after in competitions.
