Haiti is a famous coffee region in the Caribbean, where coffee has been grown since 1734, especially in the Thiotte region and the Cahos mountains. For centuries, this island has preserved rare, classic coffee varieties like Typica and Bourbon.

The coffee grows naturally on high mountain slopes under the shade of pine trees and fruit orchards. Cool weather and careful hand-picking give the coffee a very clean taste, mild acidity, and pleasant flavors of citrus, dark chocolate, sweet brown sugar, and rich almond.

Haiti’s biggest advantage is its pure, original coffee genetics and eco-friendly natural farming. Even though shipping coffee out of the country can be difficult due to mountain terrain, Haiti coffee still holds a special place in the world of specialty coffee and is highly valued by coffee lovers everywhere.
