Giải thích thuật ngữ: Flow profilinglà gì?

Flow profiling is a technique used to adjust the water flow rate during espresso extraction, allowing precise control over the brewing process. By manipulating flow, baristas can directly influence the acidity, sweetness, and body of the coffee.

Beyond optimizing flavor, this technique also helps minimize channeling, ensuring even water distribution through the coffee grounds. As a result, extraction becomes more stable and consistent.

Notably, the pre-infusion phase plays a crucial role in this process. Adjusting water flow at the beginning allows coffee grounds to bloom evenly, improving extraction efficiency and enhancing the overall quality of the espresso.
