Giải thích thuật ngữ: Fineslà gì?

Fines are tiny coffee fragments, typically smaller than 50 micrometers, with a high surface area that significantly impacts extraction. While these fine particles can lead to over-extraction, resulting in bitterness and astringency, they also play a crucial role in espresso brewing. Their increased surface area enhances contact with water, aiding in the extraction process and contributing to the body and texture of the espresso.

The grinder and grind size directly influence the amount of fines produced. Maintaining a balanced ratio of fine and coarser coffee particles is essential for achieving consistent and optimal espresso extraction.
