Dissolution
Dissolution is the process in which the molecules of a substance separate and mix with the molecules of a solvent, forming a uniform solution. A common example is when a sugar cube dissolves completely in water.
In coffee, dissolution also refers to the extraction of soluble compounds from coffee into water, which creates the final brew. This process occurs in both instant coffee production and traditional brewing methods.
