Batian
Batian is an Arabica coffee variety originating from Kenya, officially released by the Coffee Research Institute (CRI) in 2010.
Inherited from renowned SL cultivars such as SL28 and SL34, Batian features a tall growth structure, deep root system, and a conical to cylindrical canopy. Its ripe cherries are large, elliptical in shape, and distinguished by a deep red hue.
Batian stands out not only for its strong disease resistance and stable yield but also for its growing reputation on the global coffee map, with several lots earning recognition at international competitions, including the World Coffee Championships.
