Abdurahman Ababulgu

First cooperation: 2024

Cooperation model: Indirect Trade

As one of the few first-generation farmers holding a direct export license in Ethiopia, Abdurahman Ababulgu represents a new wave in the country’s coffee industry.

From his 6-year foundation as treasurer at the Duromina cooperative, he has developed a 10-hectare farm in Kedamessa, Agaro in the Oromia region, focusing on two selected coffee varieties: 74110 and 74112.

In the complex context of Ethiopia’s coffee market, where there are three main routes to bring coffee to the international market through ECX, Cooperative Unions, or direct export, Abdurahman’s model stands out with its absolute traceability and professional production approach.
