The Tokuma farming community, bringing together smallholder coffee producers in the Agaro region, Jimma, Western Ethiopia, operates at the ideal altitude of 1,950-2,200 meters.
They are pioneers in transforming Ethiopia’s coffee industry through a direct, transparent trade model that allows traceability of each coffee lot back to the individual farm.
Tokuma farmers maintain ownership of their coffee, focusing on superior quality and community development, exemplified by two members Biya Faris and Nesru Aba Nura with their distinctive coffee farms. Recent legal changes have enabled Tokuma and other farmers to export directly, enhancing product value and livelihoods.
