It is a beverage that often accompanies every meal, not just for its subtle bitter taste, but also as an opportunity for family members to gather after a day’s work. The type of tea that can combat 8 types of cancer

The “miracle cure” capable of preventing 8 types of cancer is black tea – a common type of tea in Vietnam, which is the product of a special fermentation process. Camellia (Camellia sinensis assamica and Camellia sinensis sinensis) are the tea varieties commonly used to produce black tea. Not all black teas have the same flavor profile; they have their own flavor profiles crafted from the tea variety, growing region, heat processing method, leaf size, and more.

What makes black tea able to combat 8 types of cancer?

This familiar type of tea can actually combat 8 types of cancer!

The unit under Namkung University and Macau University of Science and Technology (China) conducted a study on black tea to conclude that this type of tea can combat 8 types of cancer in humans. The research team explored the potential of black tea in preventing and controlling cancer, while also investigating mechanisms related to antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, and even inhibition of cancer cell proliferation…

According to the results published in the medical journal Nutrients, black tea contains many bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, theabrownin, tea polysaccharides, which are beneficial for health. Specifically:

– Water-soluble polysaccharides isolated from a commonly used black tea in Hubei Province (China) are useful in inhibiting the growth of lung and liver cancer cells.

– Theabrownin inhibits a line of lung cancer cells.

– Epigallocatechin gallate derivatives isolated from some black tea varieties may induce self-destruction of lung cancer cells.

– Caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine have inhibitory effects on the growth of breast cancer cells, cervical cancer cells.

– Extract from another type of black tea from Tibet inhibits proliferation in HepG2 liver cancer cells in humans; another type prevents oral mucosal cancer in mice…

– Most black tea extracts inhibit the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells, colorectal cancer cells, and bladder cancer cells.

Furthermore, black tea has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, helping to address other serious health issues such as obesity, diabetes, and coronary artery disease.

How to prepare black tea for cancer prevention?

To enjoy a delicious and nutritious cup of black tea, you can prepare it as follows:

Hot tea: Use about 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup of hot water. It is recommended to use pure water at a temperature of 90°C to brew tea. Steep the tea for 2 to 6 minutes. The steeping time will depend on your taste preferences and the type of black tea; for example, if you prefer lighter tea, steeping time should be shorter. Strain the tea leaves, and you can add milk, sugar, or lemon according to your preference when drinking.

Cold tea: You can use cold water to steep tea for about 4 to 18 hours in the refrigerator and then strain out the leaves. Alternatively, you can still brew with hot water but use double the amount of tea, steep as usual, and then pour the hot tea over ice.
